Bringing the hope of Christ to vulnerable children in Albania.

About D3

Since 2017, we have been partnering with governement-run orphanages in Tirana, Albania, to bring soccer training, tutoring, summer camps, holiday celebrations, life skills training, and weekly outings to display the love of Christ and bring Gospel Hope.

We have staff and volunteers who daily invest in the lives of the children through sport programs and outings.

Our vision is that all vulnerable children and youth will know their worth, value, and purpose in Christ and receive access to resource to reach their full potential.

About Albania

Population: 2.7 million
Language: Albanian
Average Monthly Salary: $790 USD

Albania is a country in Southeastern Europe, located on the Balkan Peninsula, with coastlines on the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, bordering Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Greece, with Italy directly across the sea. Its capital and largest city is Tirana.

Albania lived under strict, isolated communism until the 1990s. Dictator Enver Hoxha banned religion and travel, and built hundreds of bunkers out of fear; many remain. The country is still rebuilding its economy and aims to join the EU.

Under Ottoman rule from the 15th century, Islam spread widely, making Albania a Muslim-majority country. In the 20th century, Enver Hoxha declared the country officially atheist. Since the 1990s religious freedom and peaceful coexistence among Muslims, Catholics, Orthodox, and others returned with Muslim and Atheism being the predominent beliefs.
